HI everyone!! I will be back soon I promise. August is a busy baking month for me. I made some vanilla cupcakes with vanilla almond swiss meringue buttercream for my OB and her office at my 6 week post partum check up as a thanks for everything and then some. I took pics and will post those soon
I also made YO! Gabba Gabba themed cupcakes and cakes for a friend's son's 2 year birthday. Also pics to come. My first born will be 2 soon so I have Buggy themed cupcakes and my mom's birthday was at the beginning of this month and she will be visiting soon so I am making cupcakes for her too! Phew!!
That was the baking update. Now the breastfeeding update. NO I am not posting pics! Ha ha I am VERY fortunate to be able to breastfeed my daughter ( I was successful with my first) and I know a lot of people aren't as fortunate. One of the things that is important with breastfeeding is posture and pillows. There are a lot of ways out there to hold and nurse your baby and end up with a sore neck and back so you want to have the proper posture and support. One of these is the brest friend pillow. I have used boppy pillows and they really don't work very well. They are better for propping up your baby than for nursing. I have lots of friends that swear by the brest friend pillow.
Leilani over at her blog, The Cake At Home Mom, is having a giveaway of the brest friend pillow. Check out her blog for lots of fun baked goodies and motherhood posts!!

Every friend of mine who is or has been expecting I get them a brest friend pillow. I think they are wonderful, I have kept mine from my daughter to pass on when she has her own children someday. She can tell her children that it was her pillow once.
